Andallusia Vineyard and Winery is nestled in the heart of the Temecula wine country. It is here on the hillsides of Rancho California Road and Calle Contento that our new and stunning hacienda-style winery will be built. 2003 Syrah
Our 2003 Syrah explodes with intensity, offering up-front notes of concentrated blackberry and black cherry, accentuated by subtle hints of black pepper and spice. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, this wine has firm tannin structure, deep color, and a velvety mouth-feel.
2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and deeply concentrated with aromas and flavors of blackberry, currant, and cassis, accented by nuances of sweet oak and spice. Aged for 23 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, this wine was blended with small amount of Merlot and Malbac, for added depth, complexity, leading to a smooth, velvety finish.
2003 Sangiovese
Aged for 17 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, our 2003 Sangiovese offers bright aromas and flavors of ripened cherries, black licorice, with a clean mouth feel, and long lingering finish. Blended with a small percentage of Malbec for added depth and structure.
2003 Malbec
Our 2003 Malbec is complex and concentrated, with aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry and hints of vanilla. Usually blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this vintage offered us a unique opportunity to bottle this wine as a varietal. The exquisite fruit benefited from 17 months in French oak barrels.
2003 Zinfandel
Our 2003 Zinfandel is medium bodied, with intense layers of blackberry, raspberry, cinnamon, hints of clove and black pepper, with a deep lingering finish. Aged for 22 months in small American oak barrels, this wine was blended with a small amount of Syrah for added balance, color and complexity.
2003 Merlot
Smooth and elegant, our 2003 Merlot offers rich aromas, flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and subtle hints of vanilla and spice. Blended with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, and aged in small French oak barrels for nearly two years. This wine has a rich mouth feel, deep ruby color, and elegant tannins, which round out with a velvety finish.
2005 White Merlot
Harvested on October 1st, our 2005 White Merlot was allowed to macerate on the skins for a short period of time, picking up its light pink color while extracting delicate fruit characteristics. A long, cool fermentation led to a fine wine bursting with delicate aromas and flavors of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and cherries.
2005 Riesling
Harvested on October 2nd from two select vineyard lots, our 2005 Riesling was slowly fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the varietals distinctive aromas and flavors of apricot and peach. Also accented by a touch of sweet grapefruit, all preserve the varietals distinctive aromas and flavors of apricot and peach all through a slow, cold fermentation.
2005 Andallusia Winery Estate Chardonnay
Harvested from our Estate Vineyard in September, our 2005 Chardonnay is exciting and stylish, with fresh aromas and flavors of apple, pineapple and vanilla balanced subtle nuances of oak and crisp toast. After fermenting in small French oak barrels, this wine was aged for an additional eight months the lees, lending complexity and richness all the way through to the finish.
2005 Fume Blanc
Our 2005 Fume Blanc was harvested by hand in August from the Galway Vineyard in the Temecula Valley Appellation. After a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, this wine was aged for an additional six months in small French oak barrels, allowing the wine's delicate aromas to mature. Hints of grapefruit and melon are accented by a touch of grass, rounding out to a crisp lingering finish.
